Take Flight STEM Pathway

Take Flight STEM Pathway is a partnership between Rice, San Jacinto College and Lone Star College to expand education access and increase the number of students who complete STEM degrees. The program supports students who are not ready to graduate but are interested in pursuing STEM degrees and careers, and high-achieving STEM students who are graduating and want to pursue a four-year degree.

“The health and vibrancy of the local and national economies, and our ability to address society’s most pressing issues, depend on an educated STEM workforce,” said Rice Senior Associate Provost for Strategic and Educational Initiatives Matt Taylor. “As a dynamic research university that’s blessed with a world-class faculty, cutting-edge STEM research programs and a large endowment, Rice has a role to play in meeting the STEM challenge.”
