Transfer Ready

The Take Flight STEM Pathway provides students who are “Transfer Ready” with the support and resources they need to set them up for success in a 4-year degree program.

Take Flight “Transfer Ready” students can benefit from the following opportunities (in addition to the “Staying in STEM” opportunities):

  • Completing a set of core STEM courses and an Associate’s Degree at Lone Star College or San Jacinto College
  • Receiving coordinated academic advising from faculty and staff at their respective schools and from faculty and staff advisors at Rice
  • Applying to participate in paid, full-time summer research experiences (REU) on Rice’s campus
  • Taking part in a summer transition program (if admitted to Rice)
